SMC Compression Mold for Electrical Distribution Housing

SMC Electrical Distribution Housing Mold is developed for a large thermoset electrical enclosure where dimensional stability, surface quality and reliable assembly are important throughout production.

For this type of SMC compression mold, SET MOLD does not start from cavity machining alone. Our engineering team reviews the part structure, SMC material behavior, press conditions and critical assembly dimensions before the mold design is finalized.

Engineering for Large SMC Electrical Housings

Large housing components require particular attention to material distribution and dimensional stability. SET MOLD can support the project with:

DFM, 3D mold-flow simulation, heating, venting, shrinkage and demolding review are part of SET MOLD's existing thermoset mold engineering process.

For electrical housings, critical mating surfaces, mounting locations and flatness requirements can be identified in the 2D drawing and included in the T1 inspection plan.

From Design to Trial in One Mold Facility

SET MOLD carries out mold design and manufacturing in-house, supported by CNC, EDM, milling, grinding and CMM inspection equipment. This allows engineering changes identified during machining or mold trials to be handled within the same project workflow.
